Turkish ULAQ Global Signs Deal with Saudi Arabia
The contract, concluded at the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026 in Riyadh, seeks to create a broad framework for cooperation encompassing the design, development, manufacturing, system integration, and upkeep of unmanned maritime platforms within Saudi Arabia.
This agreement marks the first of its kind in the kingdom and is expected to significantly strengthen its maritime and defense capabilities, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative.
Kerem Kalafatoglu, a board member at ULAQ Global, told a news agency that the partnership focuses on "joint development, technology transfer, and the domestic production of USVs."
He added, “Our business activities are ongoing, not only with Saudi Arabia but worldwide. This initiative will offer us the opportunity to generate sustainable profits, and we aim to export the ULAQ USV not only to Saudi Arabia but also to the rest of the world.”
Through this collaboration, ULAQ Global will support the local production of USVs in Saudi Arabia by sharing its accumulated expertise and technical know-how with its Saudi partner.
