Israeli Forces Open Fire on Palestinian Family in West Bank

(MENAFN) Three members of a Palestinian family — among them a 7-month-old infant in critical condition — were wounded Friday after Israeli forces opened fire on their vehicle in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian officials said.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement carried by a news agency that the three sustained injuries when Israeli troops fired on their vehicle in the Tel Rumeida area, located south of Hebron.

The infant's condition was described as critical following the incident.

The shooting is the latest in a pattern of intensifying Israeli military activity across the occupied West Bank, which has seen a sharp rise in military raids, arrests, and settlement expansion since the outbreak of Israel's war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
